Congratulations to Team Zion, founded by a group of second-year students at our Birla Institute Of Technology and Science, Pilani Dubai , just closed a $100,000 investment from US-based investor Mr. Joydeb Bose. Just 24 hours ago, we celebrated a massive $500,000 scholarship gift from three of our veteran alumni. Today, the "next-gen" decided they weren't waiting around for their turn. 𝑻𝒉𝒊𝒏𝒌 𝒂𝒃𝒐𝒖𝒕 𝒕𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒇𝒐𝒓 𝒂 𝒔𝒆𝒄𝒐𝒏𝒅. While most sophomores are worrying about mid-semesters and mess food, Kiratjot Singh, Mohammed Ayan, Siddhartha Jain, Aditya Yadav, and Jiya Khanna were in Mumbai at the JW Marriott, signing a term sheet to build the future. 𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒊𝒔 𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔: It’s not just about the money. It’s about the intuition. There is a unique "BITSian shorthand" where our alumni recognize the hustle in the younger generation almost instantly. With the right mentorship (shoutout to Mubashshir Ali for guiding them), these students proved that "experience" is no longer a prerequisite for "execution." Zion has secured funding from USA-based investor Mr Joydeb Bose. Just yesterday we shared our gratitude towards our 3 alumni who funded $500,000 worth of scholarships at BITS and today we share this amazing news of our student success of raising funds for their start-up.
