Unveiled at Paris Men’s Fashion Week: BIRKENSTOCK x sacai. This weekend, BIRKENSTOCK and sacai, the Tokyo-based fashion house founded by Creative Director Chitose Abe and internationally recognized for its innovative approach to hybrid design, unveiled their first collaboration during Spring/Summer 2027 Men’s Fashion Week in Paris. Reinterpreting timeless design through the lens of innovation and functionality, Chitose Abe transforms three iconic BIRKENSTOCK silhouettes into two distinctive new styles: Aoyama 107 merges BIRKENSTOCK’s first-ever sandal, the MADRID, with the ARIZONA, while Cassette 75 combines the ARIZONA with the iconic BOSTON clog. Crafted from premium natural and suede leathers, the collection remains rooted in BIRKENSTOCK’s unmistakable heritage while expressing sacai’s distinctive design language. Extending the collaboration beyond footwear, the collection also introduces the BIRKENSTOCK x sacai Utility Bag, designed with the same functional mindset and premium materials. For the runway presentation, renowned tattoo artist Dr. Woo created one-of-a-kind customizations on selected footwear and the Utility Bag, celebrating the craftmanship and creative dialogue behind the collaboration. Dr. Woo attended the show wearing the collaboration himself, alongside Japanese actor Ryo Kase, who also debuted the collection on the runway. The BIRKENSTOCK x sacai collection will launch globally in Spring 2027.
