Amazing event: The RUDOLPH DRUCK PRINT SYMPOSIUM!!! ✨✨✨ What printing company would voluntarily open its premises and press room to some 300 people – mostly fellow printers – and temporarily halt production to do so? And yet this was exactly what happened at this very special, highly inspiring event last week in Murnau, Upper Bavaria.   The RUDOLPH DRUCK PRINT SYMPOSIUM, now known beyond the region, founded and organised by printer Veit Rudolph and hosted this year by Wiesendanger medien GmbH, regularly brings together printers from a wide variety of sectors. Here, the full extent of creativity and ingenious ideas within the printing industry is showcased. Clever solutions, intelligent examples of application, and, of course, beautifully printed work. (The motto ‘DANGERZONE’ alone – a metaphor for the ‘dangerous’ day-to-day life of a printing company – sparked explosive bursts of creativity: from the invitation box with its built-in countdown timer, through the decorations, right down to the freshly printed poker game!) 🧨🔥🧨🔥🧨🔥   Of course, this is a fantastic opportunity for all participants to exchange ideas and network, and above all to show that print is alive, and that printers are all part of one big family. There were even more chances to network the evening before at a get-together in a typical Bavarian brewery, or the day after on a moderately challenging hike up one of the nearby mountains. 🌄   The programme – talks, demonstrations and discussions – took place in a large, specially erected marquee and was complemented by exhibition stands from around 30 sponsors, for whom space had been created in the production hall.   A unique mega-event into which the organisers poured an admirable amount of energy, passion and personal effort ♥️💪. We are delighted that we were able to be part of it this time. A huge thank you to the teams of Peter Wiesendanger and Veit Rudolph! PS: At the BIRKAN stand, visitors could examine not only our printing blankets and coating plates but also the invisible security feature 'aegis' (on the back of the playing cards).
