Have you ever thought about treating damaged cells like a TV remote and just... swapping out the dead batteries? That is basically what a fascinating new study published in Cell just achieved. Delivering healthy mitochondria into diseased cells is notoriously difficult because they are so incredibly fragile. But researchers found a brilliant workaround: packaging them inside red blood cell membranes. These "mitochondrial capsules" achieved an 80% uptake rate in recipient cells and successfully restored motor function and neuronal survival in Parkinson’s disease mouse models. We are incredibly proud to see the Biorbyt Anti-ND3 Rabbit Polyclonal Antibody (orb30307) used in this study. The researchers trusted our antibody to analyze Complex I functional status, proving that the transplanted organelles were actively rebuilding the cellular energy system. Breakthroughs like this are why we do what we do. Read the full paper and see the data here: https://lnkd.in/eGryMGR7
