One of the biggest lessons we've learned from more than a decade of biogas operations is that success starts long before the digester. 𝗙𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗰𝗸 𝗶𝘀 𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴. Technology can be designed, financed, and installed, but inconsistent feedstock quality, contamination, and unreliable supply can quickly impact plant performance and project economics. As South Africa's biogas and biomethane industry grows, developers need to focus not only on feedstock volumes, but also on feedstock quality and long-term reliability.
