9-tonne architectural concrete arches, right in the heart of the Meir. +++ Meir, Antwerp +++ The architectural concrete arches of the iconic façade were successfully lifted and installed on Belgium’s busiest shopping street. An impressive heavy-lifting operation that marks another major milestone in the realization of this ambitious project on the former Belgacom site in Antwerp. The building will accommodate KdG’s new campus as well as the world’s largest ZARA store. By combining new construction with the adaptive reuse of three historic buildings, the project creates a unique urban ensemble where education, retail, and heritage come together in the heart of Antwerp. +++ De architecturale betonnen bogen van de iconische gevel werden succesvol gehesen en geplaatst in de drukste winkelstraat van België. Een indrukwekkende hijsoperatie die een nieuwe mijlpaal markeert in de realisatie van dit ambitieuze project op de voormalige Belgacom-site in Antwerpen. Het gebouw zal onderdak bieden aan de nieuwe campus van KdG en de grootste ZARA ter wereld.
