In many laboratories, climate chambers, cooling processes and long-term stability tests run for long periods or even around the clock. This makes energy efficiency a direct lever for lower operating costs, reduced CO₂ emissions, and more sustainable laboratory processes. At BINDER, sustainability is part of product development and production. We focus on durable simulation chambers, repairable and modular product design, recyclable high-quality stainless-steel interiors and natural refrigerants such as CO₂, isobutane and propane in new climate chambers. Our environmental and energy management systems are certified according to ISO 14001 and ISO 50001. 🎯 Our target is clear: carbon neutrality for Scope 1 and 2 emissions by 2030 and net-zero emissions by 2045. One example is the latest KBF constant climate chamber. It reduces energy consumption by up to 66% compared with the previous technology. For laboratories, this means reliable test conditions with a measurable contribution to lower energy demand. Running a sustainable laboratory depends on many decisions. Choosing efficient, durable and low-maintenance equipment is one of the most effective. ⚡ Use the BINDER energy savings calculator to find out how much energy, CO₂ and operating costs you could save: https://lnkd.in/eteB3H6Y The calculator compares your existing unit with a selected energy-efficient BINDER model and takes into account key operating parameters such as energy consumption, number of devices, annual running hours, electricity costs and CO₂ intensity. What measures have you already taken to reduce energy consumption in your lab?
