Salzburg Cathedral (Salzburger Dom), a seventeenth-century Baroque cathedral of the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Salzburg in the city of Salzburg, Austria, dedicated to Saint Rupert and Saint Vergilius. Salzburg Cathedral was completed in 1657; and is most famously known for its brilliant baroque style (by an Italian architect) and the place where Mozart (Joannes Chrysostomus Wolfgangus Theophilus Mozart) was baptized on January 28, 1756, the day after his birth.
