πŸ‘‰ Today, we want to show you a quick project, we did with a customer Β  The goal was to create a drill jig that allows the customer to drill three precise holes in a chain guard. Β  For this purpose, they designed and 3D printed a custom drill jig. It consists of two main parts, both printed in a carbon-filled material for extra stiffness and durability. With our BigRep large-format 3D printers, they were able to produce this sizable drill jig in one piece without any issues. Β  The main body holds the chain guard in place, while a hinged flap with drill bushings ensures precise hole placement. Β  Here’s how it works: βœ… The chain guard is positioned and clamped securely. βœ… The flap with the drill bushings is folded over. βœ… The drill is guided through each bushing - hole one, hole two, hole three. βœ… Once done, the clamps are released, the flap is folded back, and the chain guard now has perfectly placed holes. Β  Quick to design, quick to print, and now the customer has a reliable tool to work with. Thanks to Michael Eggerdinger for the demonstration.
