𝗠𝗔𝗥𝗞𝗘𝗧 & 𝗢𝗣𝗣𝗢𝗥𝗧𝗨𝗡𝗜𝗧𝗬 𝗙𝗥𝗜𝗗𝗔𝗬 𝗪𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗢𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗶𝗻 𝗔𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗔𝗿𝗲 𝗥𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁 𝗡𝗼𝘄 A lot of people think agriculture is all about farming. It’s not. 𝗧𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗶𝗻 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻, 𝘁𝗵𝗲𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝘀𝘆𝘀𝘁𝗲𝗺𝘀 𝗮𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘁. Across Nigeria, farmers are producing food every day. But a large portion of the value is lost between harvest and the final consumer. 𝗔𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗴𝗮𝗽 𝗶𝘀 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗼𝗽𝗽𝗼𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗻𝗶𝘁𝘆 𝘀𝗶𝘁𝘀. In storage, where better systems reduce losses and increase shelf life. In processing, where raw produce is turned into higher-value products. In logistics, where efficient movement connects supply to demand. And in market access, where the right buyers can significantly increase income. This is the shift we need to start paying attention to. Agriculture is not just about growing more. It’s about building systems that make what we grow more valuable. 𝗕𝗲𝗰𝗮𝘂𝘀𝗲 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗳𝘂𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗮𝗴𝗿𝗶𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘄𝗶𝗹𝗹 𝗻𝗼𝘁 𝗯𝗲 𝗱𝗲𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗯𝘆 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗮𝗹𝗼𝗻𝗲 𝗯𝘂𝘁 𝗯𝘆 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗲𝗹𝗹 𝘄𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗱𝘂𝗰𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘁𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗿𝗸𝗲𝘁𝘀.
