Co-Authoring the Future: The Next Chapter of Learning at BFIS What does it actually mean to prepare students for a world that hasn't been designed yet? It's a question we sit with a lot at Benjamin Franklin International School. Since 2022, our Vision for Learning has shaped how we think about education, putting Experiential Learning, Creativity, and Individual Potential at the center of what we do. And now we're taking a hard look at where we go next. The Evolution of a Vision We're in the middle of a full review to make sure our Vision for Learning still reflects who we are and what our students actually need. This isn't something happening behind closed doors. We've been intentional about bringing in voices from across the community throughout the process. We've brought in international education expert Dr. Simon Gillespie to work alongside our Board and Leadership Team as we think through not just what we want to achieve, but how we'll know when we're getting there. The Momentum is Building Over the past few weeks, we've been running Listening Circles, structured conversations with staff, parents, and students about what's working, what isn't, and what they hope for. The honesty in those sessions has been genuinely moving, and the themes that came up have given us a lot to think about. Last Week's Synergy Last week we brought students, parents, staff, and Board members together for a full working session. Not to present a plan, but to build one together. Our ommunity was candid about where we're strong and where we have room to stretch ourselves. That kind of conversation is exactly what a meaningful Vision needs to be grounded in. We're still in the middle of this process, but we're already learning a lot. Stay tuned-the best is yet to come! #BFIS #InnovationInEducation #FutureReady #InternationalSchools #StudentAgency #EducationalLeadership #BarcelonaEducation #VisionForLearning
