Most CSPs are asking: How do we add AI to our marketplace? The better question is: Will AI make it easier or just more complex? In his latest article for The Fast Mode, our CEO Angus Ward cuts through the noise. The answer isn't straightforward. AI can make marketplaces significantly better, but added on top of fragmented catalogues and weak monetization processes, it will only expose those gaps faster. Three things stand out from the piece: šŸ”¹ AI should simplify the buying experience, guiding customers from intent to the right solution. But that only works if the operational foundations are already in place: structured catalogues, dynamic bundling, billing and fulfilment. šŸ”¹ AI won't be sold alone. It will be embedded in broader enterprise solutions. CSPs need commercial models flexible enough to package, bill and settle AI-enabled services across an entire ecosystem of providers. šŸ”¹ Agent-to-agent commerce is coming, and CSPs have a real opportunity to bring structure to that complexity, coordinating trusted AI-driven transactions across partners while maintaining commercial control.
