Seeing more than 60 million stars in a single frame is certainly one of those goosebumps moments and a reminder of why we go the extra mile every day to build hardware for #space. European Space Agency - ESA's #Euclid telescope delivered the most detailed image ever taken of the center of the #MilkyWay, and our hardware is part of what made the mission possible. Mapping the Universe takes instruments that work flawlessly, millions of kilometers from any repair: Our #OnBoardComputer that runs the spacecraft, built in Gothenburg (Sweden); the multilayer thermal #insulation that shields the telescope from temperature swings between plus 350 and minus 190 degrees Celsius, developed and produced at our Austrian sites; and the #sunshield manufactured in Zurich (Switzerland), protecting the telescope from the light of the Sun.
