🌿 Celebrating plants, science and curiosity at Fascination of #PlantsDay2026! Last Saturday, the BEST-CROP project team had the incredible opportunity to meet families and plant lovers at the Orto Botanico di Città Studi in #Milan, one of the most beautiful botanical gardens in northern Italy, for an entire day dedicated to the wonder of plants. Our researchers brought the project to life with hands-on activities and interactive games, welcoming children and families to explore the world of improved barley. It was a joy to see so many curious minds, young and not so young, asking great questions about where food comes from and how science is helping make agriculture more sustainable. 🌾 One of the highlights of the day was our showcase on the innovative potential of barley residues. Visitors discovered how what is often considered agricultural waste can be transformed into valuable products as construction materials for homes and the automotive sector.
