Even though 2026 is underway, we’d love to take a moment to reflect on 2025, and the growth and impact Best Buddies in New York achieved throughout the year! In partnership with our volunteers, participants, corporate partners, and supporters, we: - Strengthened access to Friendship, Leadership Development, Transitions, and Jobs programs across New York  - Expanded into the Hudson Valley, formally opening a new region and growing our programs  - Launched the Family Support pillar in Western New York  - Hosted the inaugural Best Buddies Challenge: New York, uniting riders across the NYC–Hudson Valley region in support of inclusion  - Began planning for Best Buddies Living in New York City, with a goal to open in Spring 2026 In other exciting news, Friendship Walk season is officially underway across New York! The Best Buddies Friendship Walk brings together communities to celebrate inclusion. As one of our largest community-building and fundraising initiatives, the Friendship Walk directly supports our programs and helps expand opportunities for friendship, leadership development, and employment for people with IDD.
