It’s a wrap on the 2nd edition of #transferale, a week of interactive formats where Zukunft findet Stadt. Hochschulnetzwerk für ein resilientes Berlin brought together universities, their practice partners and public. This edition has been exploring what else a #sciencefestical could be: Every day has been a unique experience, different in location, audiences, partners. Different in their approaches, but all creating an atmosphere that allowed for intense exchanges and unexpected encounters. What we are taking away 💬 👂 It’s always worth taking the leap and making theories accessible, even if in the moment it feels like neglecting complexity – the feedback will create opportunities for new depth, and it also can be a lot of fun! #transferwerkstatt 👵 🎯Go out to where the crowd is you are keen to have a conversation with. A series of mini-lectures and project presentations at a seniors home? Yesss, please! Those questions and conversations could have never happened otherwise. Johannesstift Diakonie 🎣 Again, simplification for the sake of sparking conversations. Support meaningful exchange by clear goals and easy-to-follow dramaturgy. And when the ideas have been flowing, know how to collect insights and what they need for being fed back into your own and your partners practices. #zukunftswerkstatt 🫂 And most of all: don’t do it on your own. Trust your partners, and after careful planning and prepping trust the audience to bring it to life. Thank you for everyone’s hard work, and joy in bringing the transferale on the road (quite literally – just saying “Meet-a-scientist for a bike-riksha ride” 🚴♀️ ). Happy to have been part of it!
