Not only did her film @nomadlandfilm win three #Oscars (including Best Picture), but she also became the first woman of color and the first Asian woman to win Best Director and the second woman ever to take the golden statue in that category. While accepting the award, she said, “People at birth are inherently good...So this is for anyone who has the faith and the courage to hold onto the goodness in themselves and to hold onto the goodness in each other, no matter how difficult it is to do that.
