After nearly two transformative years at Expedia Group, the time has come for me to say goodbye and embark on a new adventure. Serving in the greatest leadership and technical capacity in my career has been an honor and major highlight. To my Expedia colleagues and Brydie Lear: thank you for believing in me and embracing innovation every step of the way. We turned advanced analytics, data science, and machine learning into meaning and action, and I’m so proud of what we achieved. Together, we built Expedia’s first-ever HR data science team from scratch. The team now has differentiated science roles with integrated data engineering and governance capabilities. It has delivered scaled products to our HR leaders using AI and NLU developed and tuned in house. And the team has proved how much qualitative and quantitative people data can drive business value. It took a village. And after writing all of that, I must say woah what a village! I’m immensely grateful to my brilliant team and mentors who made this journey so rewarding – Marcus, Christie, Kellie, Jacqulyn, Bryce, Sudarshan, Boaz, Pascal, Reema, Souparno, Tanishk, Ishita, Darshana, Vasu, Melissa, Sankar, Peter, Houston, Jordan, and so many more –  I can’t thank you enough for your support and friendship. While it’s never easy to close a chapter, I’m excited about what’s next. And rest assured I’m not fully departing the people analytics world. Stay tuned for an announcement soon about my next role. I can’t wait to share how I’ll continue helping organizations unlock the full value of their people data in the era of agentic and generative AI.
