We think it has important ramifications for stratifying immunotherapy treatment in melanoma, as well as identifying those at highest risk of toxicities (and potentially how we treat those toxicities- work in progress). Finally, perhaps most intriguingly, we observe that patient CMV status is associated with timing of development of metastatic melanoma - indicating a previously undescribed protective effect.
