Thrilled to welcome Patrice Oliveira to the Canadian Venture Capital & Private Equity Association (CVCA) as our new Director of Development and Member Engagement. Patrice joins us from a major Canadian bank, where she helped build the go-to-market strategy for its venture banking arm. Before that, she worked in membership and partnerships at the Council of Canadian Innovators | Conseil canadien des innovateurs (CCI), where I saw firsthand how thoughtful, focused, and effective she is at building trust across an ecosystem. Her mandate at CVCA is simple and important: help us deliver more value to our members. Canada is facing a productivity crisis, weak investment, and a growing urgency to build companies that can compete globally. Private capital has a larger role to play in meeting that moment. Patrice is going to help us organize for it.
