🚀 Learning in Action: Company Visits with Our New MBA Students! 🚀 Once again this year, I had the pleasure of visiting some truly inspiring companies — and this time, with our new first-semester students! We kicked off at egf - Eduard G. Fidel GmbH 💍, a jewelry manufacturer specializing in wedding rings, engagement rings, and eternity rings, based in Pforzheim. A huge thank you to Sales Director Frank Walz and Head of People & Culture Marcel Haas, whose energy, humor, and insights made the visit both fascinating and fun! Next, we explored Lufthansa Group headquarters ✈️. Product Manager Laura Oster introduced us to the Digital Hangar, followed by eye-opening insights into agile development and risk strategy from our MBA alumni Senior Manager Operations Strategy & Business Development Aswin Pottayil and Senior Risk Manager Guilherme Gomes. A warm thank-you to all of you, not only for sharing such engaging insights about your company, but also for leaving us with inspiring ideas that resonate far beyond the workplace. One quote in particular stayed with me: “Voluntary change is strategic; forced change is survival.” It’s a powerful reminder that while it’s easy to talk about change, it’s far less automatic to put it into practice. Yet when change is necessary, it shouldn’t feel daunting; it should feel natural, like an intentional step toward growth rather than a common non-reaction to circumstance. Then it was on to DöhlerGroup, where Chief People Officer Jörg Thomas Bacherer shared the company’s global growth and people-first vision 🌍. We also got a very interesting inside look at how AI and technology are transforming operations with Head of In-house Consulting Stephan Schissler and AI Lead Dr. Kevin Klann 🤖. Thank you all so much for this! Finally, we visited SAP 💻. Campus Strategy and Engagement Lead DACH Margit Herrler welcomed us with her vibrant energy, introducing SAP’s inclusive culture and career pathways. Alumni Mohit Raj Saxena, Security Audits and Compliance Specialist, and Ujwal Kolhe, Senior Solution Advisor, shared invaluable, real-world insights into customer experience, compliance, and risk management. Also to you a big thank you! It was inspiring to visit all these companies and connect with our new students — curious, committed, and full of energy, a wonderful group of young and bright minds 💡. Last heartfelt thanks to Prof. Harald Strotmann and Prof. Markus-Oliver Schwaab for making these experiences possible for the students and for me! 🙏 #hs_pf #PforzheimMBA #MBAexcursion #HochschulePforzheim #CompanyVisits #Networking #MBAJourney
