The quantum threat is often described as a future problem. But for many organizations, it needs to be addressed today. In my latest piece in Aktuell Säkerhet, I discuss why organizations need to start preparing their infrastructure for quantum-safe encryption now. The "harvest now, decrypt later" scenario means threat actors are already collecting encrypted data to decrypt once quantum capacity is sufficient. This is not an abstract risk – it is a leadership and board responsibility. Creating a clear, time-bound roadmap for quantum-ready security should be a focused part of every IT strategy in 2026. https://lnkd.in/dM649HpH #cybersecurity #quantumtechnology #encryption #digitaltransformation #Kyndryl
