💡 Exciting clinical data in Intraoperative Neuromonitoring (IONM)! A new systematic review in The Laryngoscope (7,245 patients) reconfirms standardizing recurrent laryngeal nerve (RLN) safety in thyroid surgery. But how do we achieve this high-density monitoring without constantly interrupting the surgical flow? ⚡Our Stimulating Dissecting Instrument (SDI) solves this by integrating dissection and stimulation into ONE seamless tool. 🔄 Higher Density: Achieves ~12 stimulations per nerve (vs. 3–4 with conventional probes). ⏱️ Time Saved: Reduces average operative time by ~15 minutes by cutting out tool exchanges. ⚠️ Early Warning: Enables real-time traction warnings (≥50% amplitude drop) before nerve damage occurs. At Beckdal, we are proud to see this level of rigorous clinical evidence back the design philosophy behind our product lines. Our SDI technology is engineered precisely to solve these real-world surgical challenges—giving thyroid surgeons the ability to maintain their natural surgical flow without ever compromising on RLN protection or patient safety. Efficiency and safety should never be a trade-off. 👉 Read the full study in The Laryngoscope to dive deeper into the data. 🌟A special thanks to Prof. Gianlorenzo Dionigi - FACS - FEBS @Daqi Zhang Pier Francesco Alesina Francesco Brucchi Carla Colombo Gianluca Donatini Marcin Barczynski @ Gregory W. Randolph Pablo Moreno Llorente Kyriakos Vamvakidis Diego Barbieri @ Lanlan Wan for publishing this landmark study in The Laryngoscope. We are incredibly honored to see our shared vision for safer, more efficient thyroidectomy workflows validated by such rigorous evidence. 🇮🇹 This academic milestone beautifully echoed the hands-on clinical discussions at our recent Quasi-Continuous Monitoring and SDI Surgical Techniques Training Course in Milan, where European surgeons experienced the efficiency of SDI firsthand. https://lnkd.in/ezQkBcCn #ThyroidSurgery #IONM #MedicalDevices #PatientSafety #MedTech #Beckdal #SurgicalInnovation #Laryngoscope #SDI
