Helping Sales Leaders Build Stronger Connections and Greater Opportunities Through Digital Platforms

Now that you've set up your LinkedIn profile, what do you do next?   Put some 🐠 fish, I mean people, in it, and take care of them. 🫶   ⚠️ Proper feeding and care is crucial to survival. CARE INSTRUCTIONS   ✅Make sure you are connected with your work colleagues on LinkedIn ✅Spend time on activities that allow you to connect with new people ✅Regularly interact with those in your network ✅Follow up with people after a meeting with a request to connect and a brief note about the impact of the conversation you had ♻️ REPEAT STEPS 2-4. Bring the same approach you use when you meet someone in person for the first time to the online space here on LinkedIn.   At a first meeting with someone new, whether it's at the gym, the coffee shop, or a networking event, you generally start off with a friendly greeting, then you engage in conversation.   🛑 You don't jump right into talking about your company and your products right away. So don't do that online either.   Your offline network is not different from your online network. You just have 1 network.   Take advantage of the opportunity that LinkedIn offers you to build relationship with those in your network and to establish your online reputation and brand. 🪶 Think "light touches" done frequently. Comment on posts you read in your LinkedIn newsfeed to create engagement with your network. A fish tank without fish is not much fun to look at. A LinkedIn profile without connections is ok, but you're missing out on a great opportunity to build relationships if you don't think of it as your launching pad, your foundation. And you just don't know how you might need someone in your network down the road in your career.   🌳 What you focus on expands. What you ignore shrinks. David J.P. Fisher Sarah Lien Finnerty
