This article about the hospice experience of former CMS Program Integrity Chief Dara Corrigan was wonderful. Especially interesting is her recommendation (again, as someone who lived in program integrity her entire career) to increase hospice eligibility from 6 months before death to a year before death and to add a palliative care benefit.
