On 27 May 2025, something quite special happened. BDO in Azerbaijan and ACCA Türkiye, Azerbaijan and Georgia kicked off the very first event in the CFO Connect Series, bringing together finance leaders from across Azerbaijani businesses. The goal? To explore how the role of the CFO is changing, and how the idea of a Chief Value Officer is becoming more important than ever. That discussion was led by Yunis Salayev, who brought thoughtful insights and sparked meaningful conversation. The evening was held at none other than the British Ambassador’s residence - a truly beautiful setting, full of charm and quiet elegance. With the kind support of the British Embassy Baku, it felt more like an evening among friends than a formal gathering. The discussions were lively, thoughtful, and surprisingly forward-looking, showing just how much the world of finance is evolving. We’re deeply grateful to the British Embassy in Azerbaijan for hosting us, and especially to Ambassador Fergus Auld OBE , whose warm welcome and support made everyone feel right at home.
