Heart failure affects over 64 million people worldwide, posing a serious public health challenge with significant morbidity, mortality, and economic impact. Despite treatment advances, about 30% of those diagnosed die within a year, rising to 40% after five years—mortality rates comparable to or worse than common cancers. With an aging population, the prevalence of heart failure is expected to rise dramatically in the coming decade, highlighting the urgent need for increased awareness and better management strategies. Building on our long legacy in cardiovascular disease management, it is our ambition to redefine what it means to live with different forms of heart failure and to take a leading role in the care of patients with the disease. Our broad portfolio and pipeline give us the opportunity to cover the full spectrum of heart failure. Taking part in the European Society of Cardiology (ESC) Heart Failure Congress in Belgrade, we will present new analyses from our late-breaking cardiovascular heart failure data, focusing on addressing the high unmet medical needs in this field.
