Last week’s Innovation Management Methods lecture in the Global Foresight and Technology Management (M.Sc.) program by Prof. Alexander Schönmann was enriched by an inspiring guest speaker — 𝗮 𝘁𝘄𝗼-𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽 𝗳𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗱𝗲𝗿 — who shared first-hand experiences from his journey 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮 𝘁𝗼 𝗔𝗜 𝘀𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝘂𝗽. A central insight of his talk was why 𝘀𝗼 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗶𝗱𝗲𝗮𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝗶𝗹 𝗶𝗻 𝗶𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻. Innovation is rarely limited by creativity; it is limited by execution, decision-making, and ownership. We also explored 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗔𝗜 𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝘆 𝗶𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗻𝗼𝘃𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗺𝗮𝗻𝗮𝗴𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁. AI has great potential to support analysis, prioritization, and strategic choices. However, one message was crystal clear: 𝗔𝗜 𝗻𝗲𝗲𝗱𝘀 𝗿𝗲𝗮𝗹 𝗱𝗲𝗰𝗶𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻-𝗺𝗮𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀 to create impact. Technology alone changes nothing. 𝗔𝗜 𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘁𝗲𝘀 𝘃𝗮𝗹𝘂𝗲 𝗼𝗻𝗹𝘆 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗶𝘁 𝗶𝘀 𝗲𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗱𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗰𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗲𝘀, 𝗿𝗲𝘀𝗽𝗼𝗻𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗶𝗲𝘀, 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗼𝘄𝗻𝗲𝗿𝘀𝗵𝗶𝗽. The session offered valuable, honest insights into what it really takes to turn ideas into sustainable ventures. Thank you very much Dr. Robert Schrobenhauser for taking the time to share your experiences, lessons learned, and thoughts with us — it was truly appreciated. #Innovation #AI #StartupLife #Entrepreneurship #InnovationManagement #Execution #Leadership
