🚀 The Battery Passport is taking shape: #BatteryPass-Ready test environment launched. With the launch of the test environment, manufacturers, suppliers, recycling companies and software service providers now have a powerful tool at their disposal. In the test environment, they can: 🔍access templates and guidelines. 🔍check data for completeness and EU compliance. 🔍test the functionality of their solutions in the eleven most common test scenarios. 💬“The test environment is a milestone on the path to an application-centred rollout of the battery passport in February 2027. The test environment now gives stakeholders a single point of contact which not only covers the key test scenarios but which is also being expanded with new ones on an ongoing basis”, says Thomas Knothe (Head of the Business Process and Factory Management Department, Fraunhofer IPK). The test environment focuses on how the user’s Battery Passport solution interacts with other actors in the battery ecosystem: 💡Can the battery be registered correctly upon placement on market? 💡How does the user’s own system respond to data requests from external partners? 💡Is the requested Battery Passport data transmitted to the intended extent and correct format? The test environment creates application-ready scenarios based on the regulatory framework and standards. It will make the findings from various test runs transparent, thereby highlighting where gaps or issues still exist. 👉 The test environment and its base information will be extended and optimised further with your feedback, so check it out, available now: https://lnkd.in/eg8PHqYJ Fraunhofer IPK, Technische Universität Berlin, GEFEG, acatech – Deutsche Akademie der Technikwissenschaften, Verband der Automobilindustrie (VDA) e.V., VDMA, ZIV – Die Fahrradindustrie, Bitkom
