يسعدني أن أشارك هذه التجربة التي امتدت لما يقارب عامًا كاملًا من العمل البحثي والميداني، والتي كانت رحلة ثرية لتحليل واقع بلدية غرب إربد وفهم التحديات الحضرية المعقدة التي تواجهها من منظور علمي وتخطيطي. خلال هذه التجربة، أدركت أن التحديات الحضرية ليست قضايا منفصلة، بل منظومة مترابطة تتطلب رؤى شمولية وتعاونًا بين مختلف الجهات للوصول إلى حلول مستدامة تعزز جودة الحياة وتدعم التنمية المحلية. وكان نجاح جلسة Focus Group من أبرز محطات المشروع، حيث جمعت ممثلين عن البلدية، والمؤسسات المحلية، والخبراء، والمجتمع المحلي في نقاشات بناءة ساهمت في تحديد الأولويات ورسم رؤية مشتركة لتعزيز المنعة الحضرية في بلدية غرب إربد. أشعر بالفخر لكوني جزءًا من هذا المشروع الذي عزز قناعتي بأن البحث العلمي يمكن أن يكون أداة حقيقية للتغيير عندما يرتبط باحتياجات المجتمع ويترجم إلى ممارسات تخطيطية قائمة على المشاركة والأدلة. كل الشكر والتقدير لأساتذتي وزملائي ولكل من ساهم في إنجاح هذه التجربة، والتي ستبقى محطة مهمة في مسيرتي الأكاديمية والمهنية، وحافزًا للاستمرار في العمل من أجل مدن ومجتمعات أكثر قدرة على مواجهة تحديات المستقبل. I am proud to share an enriching experience that spanned nearly a full year of research and fieldwork dedicated to analyzing the reality of Greater West Irbid Municipality and exploring its complex urban challenges through a scientific and planning perspective. Throughout this journey, I learned that urban challenges are interconnected rather than isolated, requiring integrated thinking, collaboration, and evidence-based planning to develop sustainable and resilient solutions. One of the project's most valuable milestones was the successful Focus Group session, which brought together representatives from the municipality, local institutions, experts, and community stakeholders to discuss key challenges and identify strategic priorities for strengthening urban resilience in Greater West Irbid Municipality. This experience reinforced my belief that academic research can generate meaningful impact when it is closely connected to community needs and translated into participatory planning practices that support local development. My sincere appreciation goes to my professors, colleagues, and everyone who contributed to the success of this journey.
