Act I: When I started the Ausbildung zum Autor für Film & TV at Masterschool, it felt like the opening act of a story: new characters, fresh goals, and the first glimpse of the journey ahead. We’ve started by establishing the world of screenwriting from dramaturgy and structure to genre, character, and dialogue. We were guided by an incredible lineup of lecturers, to whom I’d like to say thank you for the inspiring input and generous guidance throughout this phase. And of course, it’s been a joy to learn alongside such a talented group of fellow writers. Act II: We’ve traverssed the first half of Act II and have now reached the Midpoint: the turning point where theory is put into practice. We will now begin the development stage, in which we will bring our film or TV projects from initial ideas to full treatments. Act III: The Road Ahead From here, the stakes rise. We’ll revise, pitch, and push our ideas toward their climaxes, hoping to emerge with stories that resonate with our audiences. Thank you to the amazing lecturers: Thomas Schrader, Cornelia Deil, Heiko Martens, Frauke Schmickl, Frederik König, Birgit Wittemann, Christian Eisert, Tomislav Turina, Carsten Schneider, Gunther Eschke, Oliver Schütte, Joachim Mühleisen, Inken Witt and Stefan Rüll And to the inspiring cohort of fellow writers: Anne Rinke, Jakob Wollanke, Andra K., Christoph Marx, Alexis Haupt, Marc Wirbeleit, Antje Luck-Langer, bibbi mueller, gundula weimann, Niklas Keuthahn, Maximilian Reich and Julia Brachert.
