Today marks exactly 15 years since Ilona Van Miert joined SLS, which later became part of Base Logistics Group, the organisation she still works for today.   Before accepting a full-time position at SLS, Ilona started her journey with the company as an intern. During the graduation internship for her degree in Logistics and Economics, she researched SLS's logistics processes and customer satisfaction. She developed improvement proposals and provided insights into the value that different customers brought to the business. This knowledge and experience would go on to form a common thread throughout her career within Base Logistics Group.   During the first 12 years of her career, she held various roles within SLS, including positions in Sales Support and Engineering & Support. Three years after joining the company, she specialised as a Process Engineer, and three years later she was promoted to Senior Logistics Engineer.   According to herself, Ilona is not the type to rest on her laurels. In November 2021, she officially made the move to Base Logistics Group and took on the role of Program Manager. In January 2023, she became Manager Projects & Business Improvement, a position she continues to hold today and one in which, as Ilona puts it, “the challenges are endless.”   We are proud that Ilona has been part of our team for so many years and we will celebrate her anniversary in an appropriate way today.   Congratulations on your anniversary, Ilona!
