Start your day with something inspiring 💙 Last night, Hollie Page and Spencer Stevenson joined BBC London to share an extraordinary story of quick thinking, teamwork and survival. Just before Christmas, Spencer collapsed at Liverpool Street Station after suffering a sudden cardiac arrest. Hollie, one of our outstanding cardiac physiologists, was on her way to work when she instinctively stepped in. Alongside fellow members of the public and station staff, she performed CPR, while an on‑site defibrillator was used to deliver life‑saving treatment. Spencer was rushed to the Royal London Hospital and later treated at St Bartholomew’s, completing a remarkable full‑circle moment as he received care within the very specialist cardiac unit Hollie works in. Now recovering well, Spencer is turning his experience into action, campaigning for more defibrillators in public spaces so others have the same chance he did.
