A fantastic Windrush Day celebration hosted by the BME network and Black Health Legacy at a sunny St Bartholomew's Hospital today 🎉 ☀️ Thank you to all the speakers for their engaging presentations on a range of fascinating subjects including the history of Windrush, health risks in Black communities such as diabetes, research challenging health inequalities, initiatives and strategies to help connect with communities, and creating opportunities through inclusion. A special shout out to Joy Olasoji and the team for putting this together this special day 👏 Black Health Legacy are working in partnership with Black, Black African and Black Caribbean communities in the UK to create one of the most inclusive research studies of its kind.
