Chip design and trustworthy healthcare technologies were key topics for the Barkhausen Institut at Silicon Saxony Days 2026. Prof. Dr. Gerhard Fettweis spoke about current developments in chip design and the proposal for the planned national Chip Design Competence Center. Together with its partners in the SEMECO Cluster4Future, the BI also presented demonstrators on privacy-preserving ML/AI training, secure networked medical devices and advanced wireless technologies for medical applications. The program was complemented by presentations from Dr. Maryam Zarezadeh and Dr. Padmanava Sen as well as the SEMECO Talk featuring Prof. Dr. Gerhard Fettweis and Prof. Dr. med.
