Behind-the-meter battery storage is one of the fastest-growing segments in energy right now. Installed capacity grew 60% last year, and more than 3 GW of new capacity is expected to come online in 2026 alone.   Here's why. Putting storage on the customer's side of the meter fixes two big problems at once: ➡️ High energy bills: batteries store power when it's cheap and use it when prices spike, so bills go down. ➡️ Data centers waiting to connect: onsite power lets them get running sooner, instead of waiting years for the grid to catch up.   And they're profitable. These projects can earn returns in the mid-teens or higher, which is why developers, investors, and lenders are paying attention.   In our latest video, John Baron, Baringa’s US Power Transaction Advisory Lead, walks through the business case for behind-the-meter BESS and what's driving the momentum.   Watch now 👇   #BehindTheMeter #BESS #BatteryStorage #EnergyStorage #DataCenters
