A decade ago, former pediatric patient Tatumn Carr turned her own health care journey into something meaningful for future families. At just 8 years old, she helped inspire Tatumn’s Treehouse, a playroom at Banner Children’s at Desert Medical Center created to give young patients a sense of normalcy during treatment. Recently, Tatumn returned as a graduating senior to visit the space and see the continued impact it has on children and families. Her story reflects the power of patient-centered care, philanthropy and creating healing environments for children.
