AI took center stage at our 34th annual Financial Services conference, which was marked by record attendance of nearly 300 investors and over 125 companies. This gathering provided executives the opportunity to lay out their strategy amidst the AI-driven volatility rippling through the sector. Many presenters spoke to underappreciated AI benefits and, in some cases, a market that may be overreacting to AI fears. Brian Moynihan commented that AI will bring efficiency to tasks previously thought to be beyond the scope of automation, driving improved productivity for the bank. Corporate leaders from other banks were largely constructive on the overall backdrop, pointing to accelerating loan growth, strong capital markets pipelines and a more balanced regulatory environment.
