It's rare that I get to compose a soundtrack in the genres of big band and fusion jazz that are so dear to me. In our animated film about the youth of water polo coach Dénes Kemény, this genre defines the language of the film score throughout, so I loved working on it! After his parents divorced, five-year-old Dénes Kemény stayed with his father, a water polo coach. If things had turned out differently, would he have become a three-time Olympic champion and national team captain? How did our Olympians who have won countless gold medals start out as children? The animated series Fledgelings (Cserebogarak) shows the trials and tribulations of well-known Hungarian champions such as swimmer Krisztina Egerszegi, swordsman Rudolf Kárpáti, chess master Polgár girls, and boxer László Papp. The 8-minute short films focus on the fateful moments of their youth that led to their later brilliant results. #olympics #animation #soundtrack #music #film #series
