This week, our team in Norway welcomed Norwegian Prime Minister Jonas Gahr Støre and Energy Minister Terje Aasland, to our recently inaugurated Subsea Services Center of Excellence and manufacturing plant near Stavanger for a meeting among government, operators and industry suppliers active on the Norwegian Continental Shelf. During the session, Prime Minister Støre and Minister Aasland outlined the Norwegian government’s latest decisions and plans for oil and gas activity across the North Sea, Norwegian Sea and Barents Sea, including approval of new field developments and the upcoming annual licensing round with new exploration acreage. These announcements reflect Norway’s pragmatic and consistent approach to managing its energy resources and its continued role as a reliable supplier of energy to Europe. As part of the discussions, our Managing Director for Norway, Tom Huuse, alongside customers from across the region, emphasized the importance of resilient, localized supply chains in supporting reliable and efficient production. Our team, including our apprentices also had the opportunity to share perspectives on industry capabilities, workforce skills, and long‑term collaboration with the Prime Minister and Energy Minister, highlighting the motivation and ambition needed to help shape Norway's energy future. This dialogue underscores how progress across The Energy Equation™ is driven through collaboration between industry and government, informed by local expertise and supported by global capabilities.
