Fluevog CMO | Lover of authentic marketing & brand work
OK, fine... Yes, some of them are asleep π€ but at least two are thinking 'really' hard about the smart stuff I'm saying! It's really hard to tell... I LOβ€οΈE speaking to university classes, and this week I got to be a guest at two π Thank you to the University of Victoria - Peter B. Gustavson School of Business and Toronto Metropolitan University - Fashion at The Creative School. One was a 𧡠Fashion Theory class, and the other was π International Marketing 416, but it was exciting to see where the dialog and questions overlapped: π« How does community and authenticity play a role in branding? β»οΈ Circular fashion and John Fluevog Shoes Fluemarket & Open Source Footwear initiatives. β οΈ How to decide which risks to take and which to skip. π² Which theories and concepts are fleeting and which are evergreen? If you get a chance to speak to a class, I would highly encourage it. For me, it really helps organize my own thoughts (some of which I maybe haven't examined enough recently), and I always, always walk away with new ideas and learnings. π π π Many thanks to Catherine Lawton, MBA, FRCGS and Susan Keiko Langdon C.M. for the invites, and to all the students including Daphne Davis Imran Karsan Ethan LaFrance Eli Tucker-Borrut Sebastian Golla Carys Parish for their attendance and awesome questions! (Dan Nelken β€οΈ is off screen but also asleep.) #sleepinginclass #fashion #internationalmarketing #circularfashion #university #community
