What turns a "simply correct" legal argument into a winning business strategy? We would argue that it's the shift from reciting theory to protecting a real-world client. Recalling the 4th edition of the Intellectual Property Moot Court Competition (MCCIP), we talk to the architect of this year's case study, Iulia Ghita. As the author of the complex legal puzzle that challenged 28 student teams, Iulia witnessed firsthand how future practitioners stopped acting like students and started thinking like strategic legal advisors. Key insights from the interview: ✅ The client mindset: this is the exact reason why most participants should treat the simulated case as a real-world business mandate, and not as an exam! ✅ Crafting the narrative: the MCC serves as a framework for moving past predictable legal citations to build a logical storytelling structure that makes the argument and the overall presentation feel natural and fair. ✅ Active courtroom presence: the ultimate competitive edge belongs to those who actively listen and adapt in real-time, and not (surprisingly for some!) to those who memorize their notes. 💡 "A memorable answer brings an unexpected perspective — when the participant does not just 'recite' the law, but utilizes it strategically to sway the court's opinion," Iulia concluded. Thank you, Iulia! 🚀 This is our way of amplifying the sound of knowledge!
