Havacılıkta gelişen teknoloji sayesinde uçakların sağlık durumu sürekli gözetim altında tutulmakta ve bir sorun olduğunda monitör edilip gerektiğinde sorun yere bildirilmektedir. Böylece artık periyodik bakımlar yerine kestirmeci ve duruma dayalı bakım konseptleri devreye girmekte bu sayede; Gecikme, iptal, geri dönüş veya yön değiştirmeye neden olmayan tarifeli kalkışların yüzdesi artmakta, Uçakta katastrofik bir arızanın neden olabileceği ikincil hasar potansiyeli azaltmakta, Katastrofik arıza nedeniyle plansız duruş süresi en aza indirilmekte, Bakım faaliyetlerini planlayarak bakımın operasyonel etkisi en aza indirilmekte, Onarım/ünite değiştirme planlanarak bakım fazla mesai maliyetlerini en aza indirilmekte, Acil durum yedek parça stoğu gereksinimi azaltılmaktadır. F-35 uçaklarındaki eski adı ALICE olan ODIN (Operational Data Integrated Network) sistemi, ABD Hava Kuvvetlerinin CBM+ konsepti ve Airbus’ın Skywise sistemleri bu yaklaşıma örneklerdir. *** Thanks to the developing technology in aviation, the health status of the aircraft is kept under constant surveillance, and when there is a problem, it is monitored and reported to the ground when necessary. Thus, instead of periodic maintenance, predictive and condition-based maintenance concepts come into play, thus providing the following benefits.
