Le samedi 18 juillet 2026, le bureau exécutif de Women In Mining Mali (WIM-Mali) m'a remis une attestation de reconnaissance, en tant que membre du bureau exécutif, au sein de la composante des sociétés minières. Je la reçois avec sobriété, parce qu'une reconnaissance de ses pairs se mesure moins à l'instant où on la reçoit qu'au travail qui l'a précédée. Depuis sa création, WIM-Mali porte une mission exigeante : accroître la représentation des femmes dans les secteurs minier et pétrolier, défendre leurs droits économiques, et faire en sorte qu'elles occupent, sans avoir à se justifier, une place à la table des décisions. Contribuer à cette mission au sein du bureau exécutif n'est pas une fonction honorifique. C'est un travail de liaison souvent discret entre les institutions et les femmes du secteur, un travail qui ne porte ses fruits que si elles continuent, de leur côté, à s'organiser, à se former et à se soutenir mutuellement. Je remercie le bureau exécutif de WIM-Mali pour cette confiance renouvelée. Elle m'engage à poursuivre ce travail avec la même rigueur, aux côtés de toutes celles qui font avancer, chaque jour, la place des femmes dans notre secteur. ............................ On Saturday, July 18, 2026, the executive board of Women In Mining Mali (WIM-Mali) presented me with a certificate of recognition as a member of the executive board, within the mining companies component. I accepted it with humility, because recognition from one's peers is measured less by the moment it is received than by the work that preceded it. Since its creation, WIM-Mali has pursued a demanding mission: to increase the representation of women in the mining and oil sectors, to defend their economic rights, and to ensure that they have a seat at the decision-making table without having to justify themselves. Contributing to this mission within the executive board is not an honorary position. It is often a discreet liaison between institutions and women in the sector, work that only bears fruit if they continue, for their part, to organize, train, and support one another. I thank the WIM-Mali executive board for this renewed confidence. She encourages me to continue this work with the same rigor, alongside all those who are advancing the role of women in our sector every day.
