Today marks the milestone of a 6 year old dream that was shared by a wonderful team that believed it possible. From dream to conception, the vision of a program that sees architecture as an agent of change, a product and a process, and an identity for a new reality. The first batch today was celebrated by those that made it happen and those who completed it’s happening against many odds. Praise be to Allah for the blessing first and foremost for its realization. To Newgiza University - NGU that founded and funded the dream. To UCL UCLC for their partnership in all this. To John Mitchell to Emanuela Tilley to Shannon Chance for their diligent management and design. To Prof Aly Gabr for his belief in the project, guidance, leadership and support. To Mohamed Nafea and Samhaa El-Beltagy my partners in the journey. To the great foundation and surviving members Aya Mostafa Esraa Elareef @ahmed Shihy without whom none of this would have ever happened. And of course to all the team that followed Haitham Samir Heba Mourad Heba Nabil Eman Ismail Abdellatif, Ph.D. and everyone who helped and supported that I may have forgotten. Most importantly to the students who believed in the dream and took the chance; the great great Graduates of the Class of 2025.
