Our 2025 Mind Health report is now LIVE 📢🎉 For those with global businesses, this report highlights some of the key areas of concern for young adult (18-34) non-native employees (individuals who live in a different country from the one they were born in) and this time we’ve seen some changes that reflect the ever-evolving, complex landscape of working from abroad. So, what did we find? - Gen Z and Millennials globally are now reporting the highest rates of mind health issues, but non-natives of the same age are struggling more. - Especially Millennial non-natives, who are experiencing poorer mind health than non-native Gen Z . - Excessive use of social media and digital devices are having a significant impact on both Gen Z and Millennial non-natives. - More Gen Z and Millennial non-natives are getting support from a mental health professional. - AI-powered mind health support is growing in popularity and usage among young adult non-natives. Commenting on the 2025 stats for non-natives as a collective, our CEO, Xavier Lestrade said: “The findings reveal a clear generational divide in how expats experience and manage their mental wellbeing. Younger adults are far more open in acknowledging challenges and seeking support, while older generations often report fewer issues and tend to rely on more traditional pathways. Both approaches have their strengths - whether it’s the resilience and perspective of older adults, or the proactive attitude of younger people towards managing their wellbeing. There’s a real opportunity here for generations to learn from one another.” Packed full of insights relating to the mind health of non-natives, the report delves into what’s causing the divide between generations, and what the future could mean for their mental health.
