🚀 Announcing ExtendDB v0.1, an #OpenSource, Amazon DynamoDB-compatible adapter bringing the #DynamoDB API to your #Databases. 👉 https://go.aws/4dYiI7e ExtendDB is maintained by #AWS under the Apache 2.0 license. v0.1 ships with PostgreSQL as the reference storage backend & a pluggable architecture that supports additional backends without modifying the adapter. What this means for developers: 🗸 Use the same AWS SDKs, code, & tools you use against DynamoDB today 🗸 Change nothing but the endpoint to point at your own database 🗸 Run your application against PostgreSQL in development, test, or any environment where you operate your own data store 🗸 Add a new storage backend by implementing the adapter interface, no fork required We built ExtendDB because developers told us they want the DynamoDB programming model in environments where the managed service is not available. ExtendDB gives them that without giving up the API.
