"You are the most important project you will ever work on." — my dad has always told me this, and I’m finally starting to take it to heart. These words hit differently when you’re stepping out of university and into your first full-time role. As a recent UBC grad, my journey has been full of learning and exploration: coordinating student events, managing projects, and collaborating with incredible people like Juliana Chow, Marcus Jung, and Ian Yen. I've learnt lessons about student engagement, teamwork, and turning ideas into reality. The past few months of job hunting have been a wake-up call for me. Although I am still discovering my niche— actively exploring HR, Consulting, Marketing, and Project Management have made me realize that I do want my career to be people-focused and strategy driven. I've been experimenting with tools like Trello, Asana, Buffer, and thinking about how I can add value to diverse teams. I’m excited to keep sharing my journey and reflections while learning from this amazing LinkedIn community. 💬 Thoughts lately: What’s one takeaway from your first job or internship that you wish you’d known sooner? #NewGrad #ProfessionalGrowth #JobHunting #HumanResources #Marketing #ProjectManagement
