The footage shows the Bussard in its โ€œOptionally Piloted Vehicleโ€ (OPV) configuration: a pilot was on board, while the actual flight control was carried out entirely by the operators at the ground control segment near Munich. This is made possible by ๐—ฅ๐—ฎ๐˜€๐—–๐—ผ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ, the proprietary flight control and avionics system, developed in-house, and that is already in use on the Grille and Wespe platforms. The transition to a fully unmanned configuration is currently in preparation: โ€œThis will represent our next milestone on the path toward an unmanned aircraft that combines cost efficiency, long-range capability and European sovereignty,โ€ said Niclas Bรคhr, CEO of Avilus. This demonstration of mission-relevant long-range control not only promises a European defence capability. It delivers it. Check the full article here:ย https://lnkd.in/dtr4gpFw
