Marton Modis, Chief Commercial Officer at Avia Solutions Group subsidiary, KlasJet, has shared his insights into the current ๐ฏ๐๐๐ถ๐ป๐ฒ๐๐ ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐น ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐ผ๐ป๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ in his latest thought piece. โ๏ธ โช๏ธWith the closure of the Strait of Hormuz, jet fuel prices have risen to $๐ญ๐ฑ๐ฌ-๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฌ ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ ๐ฏ๐ฎ๐ฟ๐ฟ๐ฒ๐น, prompting carriers such as Lufthansa to cut tens of thousands of short-haul flights. โช๏ธUnresolved ATC strikes across ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฐ๐ฒ, ๐ฆ๐ฝ๐ฎ๐ถ๐ป, ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐๐๐ฎ๐น๐ are compounding the disruption, while Eurocontrol data shows these three countries already account for two-thirds of all en-route flow management delays. The result is a commercial aviation network under sustained, structural pressure, creating the ๐ฝ๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ณ๐ฒ๐ฐ๐ ๐๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐บ. So how is this affecting ๐ฝ๐ฟ๐ถ๐๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ๐น? Clients who fly with ๐๐น๐ฎ๐๐๐ฒ๐ regularly are now more reliant on the private charter airline more than ever, but those for whom chartering is not business-critical, they are being very cautious. ๐ Although there was an ๐๐ฝ๐๐ถ๐ฐ๐ธ ๐ถ๐ป ๐ฒ๐ป๐พ๐๐ถ๐ฟ๐ถ๐ฒ๐ after the initial wave of disruptions, the situation has now stabilised, and volume is roughly in line with ๐ฎ๐ฌ๐ฎ๐ฑ. Modis commented, โ๐๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฝ๐ผ๐ฟ๐ฎ๐๐ฒ ๐ฑ๐ฒ๐น๐ฒ๐ด๐ฎ๐๐ถ๐ผ๐ป๐, ๐๐ฝ๐ผ๐ฟ๐๐ ๐๐ฒ๐ฎ๐บ๐, ๐ด๐ผ๐๐ฒ๐ฟ๐ป๐บ๐ฒ๐ป๐ ๐ฐ๐น๐ถ๐ฒ๐ป๐๐ ๐ฎ๐ป๐ฑ ๐ณ๐ฎ๐บ๐ถ๐น๐ ๐ผ๐ณ๐ณ๐ถ๐ฐ๐ฒ๐ who mostly stayed away from chartering are now facing a choice.
